This is the first, but I am sure not the last with three boys! Jaxson got his first trip to the ER. John was outside playing golf with the boys today when Max swung his club (a real one) and smacked Jax in the back of his head. John brought him in the house with a hand full of blood and then it was off to the ER for some stitches. Jaxson was a little scared from seeing all of the blood but he was being so brave. Max felt awful and I think he was crying harder than Jaxson! He ended up getting two staples from Dr. Zimmerman (our old bishop). They didn't numb the area and I am so proud of Jaxson for doing so well. What a trooper. Before the Doc came in Jaxson said he wanted to show his friend Benjamin his stitches. After his staples he said he didn't want to leave. I think he liked all of the attention, everyone telling him he was so brave, getting a bracelet with his name on it, getting his own remote for the TV and picking whatever he wanted to watch! We love Jaxson and are so glad it wasn't too serious.

Sorry it's a little graphic!

They had to wrap him up like a burrito so he wouldn't wiggle

Happy it's over!

holy cow! that was a bad one. I am glad he was brave. when samuel had to get four stitches in his chin the entire office heard his wailings. i also really like John's suit on Max. look's awesome.
Yuck! I find those things are often more traumatic for me than the injured child. Looks like he was quite a trooper.
How sad for you and him and Max. What a trooper. It's hard when your kids get hurt. Riley had stiches in almost that same place. He fell on the fireplace mantel. I was freaking out way worse than him. Thank heavens Russ was there or I would have ended up on the floor.
Hey so... Dr. Zimmerman. What's his first name? I was in a ward with some Zimmermans a while back and he was a Dr.
It is the same! I just realized that he was in your photo. Tell them I said hello for me please? Shellie actually helped me get ready for my wedding. She did my hair for me and her sister did my make up.
Oh, bless his heart, all of ya! Tell him I said the stitches look cool!
I think it's some kind of family luck, I think most of the kids in our family have a scar of some kind on their heads, mostly from falling off the trampoline. What a brave kid!!!
OHHHHH! that is so pitiful! And poor Max, I can just picture him crying like that. Glad he's okay!
I was in Saratoga Ward in ... I know 2004, but I'm trying to remember if it was after that as well. I think it was at least the beginning of 2005. It was right after Shane and I started dating that my family moved out of that ward.
Poor kid. At least he was brave and didn't have to be put to sleep.
oh my!! I'm with you, glad it wasn't too serious and glad it's over. ER rooms spook me.
Holy scariness... When we saw him last night I just said to him here is the bravest meal ticket ever he just smiled. We so missed you last night but was so glad to see the family.. Thanks for the sweet gift. He loves it.
my boys thought these pics were pretty cool! Cute that he wanted to share with Ben.
