Wound #2 and #3

At the end of September John was walking down the stairs with Bos in his arms and stepped on a body pillow and down he went....all the way down. While he was falling he was just trying not to hurt Boston. He succeeded, but hurt himself in the process. I was at the store and when I came home he was sitting on the couch holding Bos asleep in his arms. He told me that he had fallen down the stairs like it was no big deal. He didn't seem in pain at all so I gave a little chuckle and asked if he was ok. He said no. Oops, sorry for laughing. (I thought it was funny because I fall down the stairs at least once a week!) He was in a lot of pain, and he seemed to be getting worse, so we took him a few days later to the hospital. They did a CT scan and told us that he has broken a few ribs and he also had kidney stones on top of that. Oh man. There was nothing they could do for him and sent us home with some pain pills and said to rest. It took a while for him to be able to go back to work but he is doing pretty good now still sore and cannot sleep comfortably at all. Hopefully it wont take much longer to heal so he can get some good sleep.

Wound # 3

A few days later John, Craig and I were talking and we hear this loud scream come from Boston and Max say, "OH NO, OH NO" I ran around the corner to find Boston standing there holding his left had up and it looked like his pointer finger was hanging off. I scooped him up and sat him on the table so I could get a better look. I was freaking out at all the blood and all I remember seeing was this huge gash in his finger with all of this white stuff coming out. EWW. Luckily EMT Craig was there to stay calm and not freak out! His finger was not hanging off once we cleaned it off and took a closer look. We went back to the hospital where they did some X-rays witch turned out fine and gave him stitches. He sat so good for them. All they had to do was put some numbing gel on and let it sit for an hour and then they stitched him up, no shots or anything. My dad surprised us and came in while we were waiting for the X-ray results. Boston was so excited to see Papa! He gave him and big hug and a squeeze and would not let go until he fell asleep on him. It was a sweet moment, Boston was scared and just needed that love and comfort from his grandpa. Two weeks later it is completely healed with just a small scar.

I guess max was playing on the elliptical machine and Boston stuck his little finger where the pedals rotate. Max felt really bad and drew Boston a cute picture while we were gone. It was a picture of them holding hands together with hearts all over the place.

This is Boston sporting his new wrapped up hand and matching Popsicle (with my new favorite way to keep it from making a mess!)

These were taken with the camera phone so you cant see very well but the cut wrapped almost all the way around his finger.

September went by too fast!

Max isn't in to many of these pictures because he looks like this in them all! Stinker

I cant move the pictures around for some reason so this post is all crazy.

I have been putting off blogging for over a month now but I am sick of looking at my last post every time I log on......I am not so sure where to start, except I feel like this last month has been full of wounds, wounds and more wounds. That sounded weird.
Wound #1
At the beginning of Sept we went to our annual Goodman family reunion. We love camping and look forward to this trip all summer. We camp in Vernon which is just about a half hour past Show Low. The weather was perfect this year, we wore jackets the whole time! Good food, good company, it was just plain fun. However, the day we were packing up camp, the boys were standing around the campfire with the DS...fighting. NOT A GOOD COMBINATION. Someone pushed someone and that someone pushed back. I hear Jaxson crying and look over to see everyone running to him and Max trying to pull him out of the fire. While I was running to him I saw that his bum was smoking. Craig had grabbed a jug of water and he and John were pouring it on Jaxsons pants. When I got up to him I pulled his pants and his underwear down. All I saw was a cute bum, no burns. He had holes in his pants and undies but his booty was ok. By this time there were quite a few people around and Jaxson was facing everyone with his pants around his ankles. Poor boy was embarrassed and said he just wanted his pants pulled up! Sorry buddy. I took him to the tailgate of the truck when he said his arms hurt. Ahhh ha. That's where the burns were. He had tried to catch himself when he fell back. He was so tough and hardly cried. Max was the one that was freaking out. He felt really bad. I am so thankful because I know it could have been very serious. Jeriann luckily had some burn cream and gauze. We wrapped his arm up and headed out. Until next year....

I Had a Good Laugh

I picked Jaxson up from preschool and this was our conversation:

Me: JAXSON! How was school today?

Jax: It was good. We played a game called doggy doggy wheres the bone. First it was Casen's turn, then it was mine. Then it was the boy that farts a lots turn.
