Maximus

First day of 1st grade Brigham, Max and Jax

What a stud!

6 years ago today, was one of the best days of my life! I became a MOM! Max was born about 3 in the afternoon and was the most beautiful baby I had ever seen. He weighed 8lbs 7 oz and was 21 1/2 inches. He kind of looked like a monkey because he was so dark and had hair in places I never knew babies had! He had dark hair on his ears, ankles, his eyebrows and hairline connected, and my favorite was that he had a hairy bumm crack! I am so glad he choose to come to our family, and that he was the first. He is the best brother to his little buddies. I love him more than words can even express. He has such a fun personality. He loves people and to be the center of attention. (I don't know where that came from, certainly not from John and I!) He makes friends every where we go and has the sweetest heart. He is very smart and loves to learn. When he was just barely two, I walked in to find him on the computer in my e-mail inbox. I asked him what he was doing and he said, "just checkin my email!" Also, he has owned me in Mario Kart since he was three years old! On the day he turned two he knew all of his ABC's, shapes colors and numbers. He also knew every make of every car, all he had to see was the symbol and he knew if it was Chevy, Ford, Lincoln, Honda, Toyota, Hyundai, Nissan, and all the rest. He cracks me up! He catches onto things easily. These last 6 years have been a blast, I just wish he could stay small forever! He has recently grown three inches!

I took him in for his 6 year check up(the last time he was at the doc was for his 5 year) I guess he didn't ever remember peeing in a cup because when I told him what he had to do he busted out laughing. He is so funny. He weighs 5o lbs and is 4 feet tall.
He started 1st grade a few weeks ago and has Mrs. Melton. She is an awesome teacher he really loves her. This is his first year of full day and he is doing great. He has never complained about school being to long, he said on the first day of school that he wanted everyday to be like that. He was a little nervous the night before his first day, he just couldn't sleep. He was afraid he wasn't going to know anybody in his class. I could tell he was super nervous because that ext morning he couldn't decide what to wear. He never cares about this. I usually hand him his clothes and I don't even think he looks at what he puts on. But that day he was getting frustrated over what shoes to wear. I reminded him that his dad gave him a blessing the night before to comfort him and protect him. He remembered and his mood changed!

We sure love this kid!

I love being followed by my ever so sweet one year old, with his arms stretched as far as he can get them, waiting for me to turn around and give that hug he is wanting.
